To remain competitive throughout the season, athletes must maintain strength, speed, power, and injury resilience. While sport-specific practices are essential for skill development and tactics, these physical qualities are best developed and maintained through structured strength and conditioning training.

Calgary Strength & Physio offers In-Season Team Training for teams and clubs looking to support performance while managing fatigue and injury risk during the competitive season.

How it

works

In-season sessions are designed to complement team practices and games, and will include:

  • Structured warm-ups with an emphasis on hip mobility, movement quality, and injury prevention

  • Foundational strength development to maintain force production and joint stability

  • Speed and power training to preserve explosiveness throughout the season

  • Energy system development tailored to the demands of the sport and competition schedule

Training sessions are 60 minutes in length and take place in a fully equipped, high-performance training environment at Calgary Strength & Physio, under the supervision of experienced strength coaches and physiotherapists.
